ICTQual AB Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Structures (SUP)
Supporting structures are essential in construction, engineering, and industrial work because they ensure stability, safety, and successful project completion. These systems provide the backbone for many operations, such as scaffolding, formwork, and other structural support tasks, where safety and accuracy are extremely important.
The Supporting Structures (SUP) qualification is designed to give learners a clear understanding of how supporting systems are used in different working environments. It introduces the types, functions, and applications of structural supports while following international safety and quality standards. Learners also gain awareness of how these systems contribute to safe and efficient site operations.
This course covers important topics such as structural integrity, system classification, safe assembly and dismantling methods, risk assessment, and legal safety requirements. It combines theory with practical learning so learners can confidently apply their knowledge in real workplace situations. This makes it suitable for those working or planning to work in construction, engineering, and maintenance industries, helping them improve safety awareness and technical skills.
Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Structures (SUP)
To enroll in the ICTQual AB Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Structures (SUP), learners must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum Age: Learners must be at least 16 years of age at the time of course enrolment.
- Educational Background: There are no formal educational qualifications required. However, a basic level of literacy and numeracy is recommended to ensure learners can effectively engage with the course materials and assessments.
- Experience: No prior experience is necessary for the Level 1 Award. For progression to Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications, completion of the previous level or equivalent practical knowledge of supporting structures is recommended to ensure learners can fully benefit from the advanced content.
- Language Proficiency: Learners should have good English skills (CEFR Level B1 or above) to understand training materials, safety instructions, and complete assessments effectively.
This qualification, the ICTQual Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Structures (SUP), consists of 6 mandatory units.
